Problem Of Ignorance

by Sam Stone on November 26, 2012

“The only problem in the world is ignorance” I believe it was Bob Proctor who said this; it’s one of those quotes that has caused me to think a lot. You always hear people voicing their opinions on what they think is wrong with the world, usually they complain about one specific thing but rarely they look at it from a more broader view as this statement does.

This is why I like this statement as I feel it address the root cause of the problems in the world, essentially it is saying that the lack of education is the real cause of the world’s problem and the more I think about this it the more it resonates with me.

It has been said that knowledge is power; I would prefer to say it is potential power, anyone can read a book and get the general concepts of the knowledge presented, but unless it is acted upon it won’t produce any measurable results.

However if you are prepared to use that knowledge and education you can seek out the right strategies to solve any issue you have. One of the things I pride myself on is my compulsive curious nature to continue to learn and seek out new information about topics that interest me, especially things about the mindbody connection, science, technology, nature, etc

The internet has been one of the biggest blessings that has ever been invented by the human species, it allows us to connect with people all over the globe and freely exchange our knowledge and wisdom, of which I am grateful for every day.

Without the internet and the speed of free flowing information it can be hard to seek out the truth and certain information, especially since most of the mainstream media which ultimately dictates what information is available was privatize and consolidated from hundreds of outlets down to a small controlling minority.

When I was a kid one of my favorite TV shows was Towards 2000 and then as we got closer to 2000 it changed names to Beyond 2000 (showing my age here lol) and getting a glimpse into the technology of the future, now I love watching TED movies and discovering the same scientific breakthroughs in health and technology that will have large impact on the world.

The other day I found another website that has shares some amazing knowledge that you simply won’t find in school, college or being talked about in the mainstream media yet it will open your mind and challenge your beliefs to how certain systems in the world that affect you everyday actually work. The website is called The Reality Of Me.
