Disclaimer: This is my personal blog, my journey so to speak. Many of the posts on here are about my growth, my learning and trying to put into to practise what I learn. What I publish on here is very much me talking to myself and a way to keep myself accountable to what I have discovered.
There is a big difference between knowing something and experiencing something and I find by publishing it on here it is a way to help myself implement and practise what I have read or heard or watched. I am not claiming I know all the answers, quite the opposite in fact, for as long as I can remember I have been seeking, I am addicted to learning and very curious.
If you like reading what I publish here, great I welcome you. If you get something out of reading my blog that can help you – awesome! and if not that is cool too. With that out of the way here is today post.
The questions you ask outwardly and inwardly will determine what you focus and what you focus on will determine what actions you take and the actions you take will determine what results you get.
Something I am grateful I learned when learning how to sell was that there are no failures there are only results.
If you ask lousy questions you get lousy answers, we all know the saying – if you seek you shall find. It is how the mind works, it seeks out what you tell it to focus on, this is why when you start to think about buying a new car you start seeing it everywhere.
Many scientists say that the conscience mind can only calculate around 40 bits of information a second however the subconscious mind can calculate around 40 million bits of information per second.
Our conscience minds are deleting most of what we see, hear, touch, smell, taste and feel from our environment, it can only focus on so much which is why you need to be aware of what you focus on as it will delete everything else and deliver what order you have given it.
A simple way to demonstrate this is to look around the room and look for everything that is blue. Now close your eyes and think of all the things in the room that is red.
What you seek you shall find, If things aren’t going your way and your asking a shitty question like ‘why does this always happen to me?’ then you will get a shitty answer like ‘coz I’m an idiot’ or ‘why can’t I lose weight? Because I am a pig’ If you want better results in your life then you must ask better questions.
By asking better questions you don’t just get better answers you also experience better and more empowering emotions. Whatever emotions you experience habitually will ultimately determine the quality of your life. Ask better questions and you will get better results (answers)
